I grew up in the Pacific Northwest.
I went on to earn a bachelor's degree in English, which led me to work for multiple print publications as a copy editor, where I later took advantage of on-the-job opportunities to learn photography and graphic design in a fast-paced, hands-on setting.
After several years working with newspapers, magazines, and advertising agencies, I am now a professional contract graphic designer and photographer with a passion for creation, cleanliness, and stunning visuals.
I currently live in Utah with my husband and our little boy.

I designed this 60-page digital magazine from top to bottom, from its basic style guide to selecting its audience and organizing its content curation. I designed the company logo, built all ads and promotional materials, and laid out the website www.vixitmagazine.com.

For a year, I reached out and made continuous connections with female business and blogging experts in order to collaborate and curate text for informative magazine articles. I laid out approximately 10 monthly articles, designed and built ads for contributors, visually edited and copy edited the entire publication, wrote articles of my own, wrote all features, used Photoshop mockups and scene creators to build custom company artwork, promoted the publication on various social media channels, built an email list and created monthly marketing emails, and worked with affiliates.

I laid out this entire 80-page monthly digital magazine with over 300,000 readers. I finalized the back end of additional digital elements before publication, including interactive elements such as video and audio. I also played a large part in developing its style guide and brand standards.

I worked for this newspaper for two separate periods under different job titles: (1) As a copy editor, I laid out, proofread, and copy edited 4-6 full news pages per day and selected additional content from AP articles to include, and (2) as a graphic designer in the advertising department, I designed print and web ads for local businesses, provided mockups and specs to prospective clients, worked on in-house promos, and updated ongoing templated ads.
